Abstract
The application of additive manufacturing processes in concrete construction has the potential to radically change the standard technologies for the production of concrete components and bring significant economic and environmental benefits to concrete construction. The scientific community has recognized the technological and economic potential of additive manufacturing, with the result that the volume of research and innovation activities in this field has recently increased exponentially. This article provides a brief overview of the existing developments in concrete construction and highlights the open questions and challenges.
