Abstract
This paper documents a collaborative digital fabrication project between an architecture firm and academic lab to co-design and co-produce an outdoor installation for a rural small town public library. In this project, computational design and digital fabrication serve as a connection between academia, practice, government, industry, and private enterprise, and foster the discussion of novel design methods and socio-technical futures for rural innovations in architecture and construction.
