Abstract

The article presents the authors approach to the design of structures made by a technology called Ad- ditive manufacturing of UHPC. Both mentioned fields (technology and material) seem to be modern and popular but also very expensive. In the first part, the assessment of the used printing method is presented. Then the research of elegant structures with efficient utilization is described. The ongoing development of printing technology and the concrete mix recipe stresses the importance of correct structure design and form-finding. Some general recommendations and current known ways of rein- forcing printed concrete are named. The main part of the article is focused on research studying shell structures for which an experiment was carried out. The current experiences, ideas and recommendations for future work are summarized in the last part of the article.
